colourbella - Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of styling services provided by colourbella (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a personal styling business based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services Overview
colourbella provides personal styling services including but not limited to:
Colour analysis sessions
Body shape consultation
Style personality assessment
Wardrobe editing and organisation
Personal shopping services
Virtual styling consultations
Group styling sessions
2. Booking and Payment Terms
2.1 Booking Process
An initial consultation (in-person or virtual) is recommended but not required to discuss services, availability, and pricing.
Full payment (100%) is required at the time of booking to confirm your appointment, for all services.
If you would like to discuss a custom payment plan, please make your booking enquiry via the contact form on our website rather than booking directly online. Payment plans are considered at our discretion and will be agreed upon in writing before any services are delivered.
For international clients, full payment is required in advance due to currency conversion considerations.
2.2 Payment Methods
Invoices are issued for all services. All payments are processed securely via Stripe, a leading global payment platform. Through Stripe, we accept the following payment methods:
Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and more)
iDEAL - the most popular online payment method in the Netherlands
SEPA bank transfers - for euro-denominated bank transfers within the SEPA area
Apple Pay and Google Pay - for fast, one-touch digital wallet payments
Link - Stripe’s one-click checkout for saved payment details
Available payment methods may vary depending on your location and device. Stripe processes all transactions securely and in accordance with applicable payment regulations.
2.3 Pricing and Fees
All prices are quoted in Euros (EUR) and include Dutch VAT.
2.4 Custom Payment Plans
Payment plans are not available through the online booking system. If you would like to discuss a payment plan, please contact us via the contact form on our website before booking. Any agreed payment plan will be documented in writing, and all payments must be completed before the final session date.
Custom payment plans are offered at our sole discretion. Late payments under an agreed plan may incur a €15 administrative fee, and services may be paused until overdue payments are received.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
3.1 Client Cancellations
7+ days notice: Free rescheduling (one time only).
3–7 days notice: Rescheduling permitted with €25 administrative fee.
Less than 3 days notice: No refund; new full payment required for rebooking.
No-show: No refund; new full payment required for future bookings.
3.2 Multiple Reschedules
First reschedule: Free (with 7+ days notice)
Second reschedule: €50 administrative fee, must rebook immediately
Third reschedule: No refund; new full payment required
3.3 Our Cancellations
If we need to cancel, you will receive a full refund or free rescheduling.
We are not liable for any consequential losses due to our cancellation.
4. Refunds, Returns & Consumer Rights (Dutch/EU Law)
4.1 General Refund Terms
Payments: Non-refundable once a booking is confirmed.
Completed services: No refunds offered.
Partial services: Refunds considered case-by-case at our discretion.
Gift vouchers: Non-refundable and valid for 6 months from purchase date.
4.2 14-Day Cooling-Off Period (Herroepingsrecht)
In accordance with Dutch and EU consumer law, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days of booking, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing within that 14-day period via email at hello@colourbella.com.
The following conditions apply:
If your session is scheduled to take place within the 14-day cooling-off period, our standard cancellation notice periods (Section 3.1) still apply. You may still withdraw, but cancellation fees may be applicable depending on the notice given.
If your session is scheduled to take place after the 14-day cooling-off period, and you withdraw within those 14 days, you are entitled to a full refund. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice.
If you have requested that services begin within the cooling-off period, and services have already been fully delivered, you lose the right to withdraw.
After the 14-day cooling-off period has passed, our standard refund policy applies (see Section 4.1).
4.3 Digital Products (PDF Downloads)
Digital products are delivered immediately upon payment. By purchasing digital content, you explicitly agree to immediate delivery and acknowledge that your statutory right of withdrawal expires, according to Article 6:230p sub g BW. Digital downloads are final and non-refundable.
4.4 Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are:
Non-returnable and non-refundable
Non-transferable
Redeemable for services only
Not redeemable for cash
Valid for 6 months from the date of purchase
Not extendable after the expiry date
4.5 No Physical Goods
We do not sell or ship physical products. Our offerings consist solely of services, digital downloads, and gift vouchers. No physical returns apply.
5. Location and Travel Terms
5.1 Studio Sessions
Colour analysis and style consultations are typically conducted at our Amsterdam home studio for optimal lighting and setup.
Home studio address will be provided upon booking confirmation.
5.2 Home Visits (Amsterdam and Surrounding Areas)
Home visits available only if good daylight conditions are provided for colour analysis and style consultations.
Wardrobe editing services are always at your location.
Travel fee: free within Amsterdam metropolitan area.
Outside Amsterdam: €35/hour travel time.
Minimum 2-hour booking for home visits.
5.3 Shopping Services
Personal shopping available in Amsterdam city centre only.
Requires advance preparation time, hence city centre limitation.
6. Gift Vouchers
Valid for 6 months from purchase date.
Non-refundable and non-transferable.
Full payment required upon purchase.
Additional travel fees apply if service location requires travel.
Physical vouchers may be sent via post; digital vouchers are available via email.
7. Wardrobe Editing and Clothing Removal
7.1 Clothing Donations
Items designated for charity during our session cannot be reclaimed.
We are not liable if you change your mind after items are donated.
Donation receipts provided where possible.
7.2 Clothing Resale
We can help connect you to sustainable fashion resale platforms.
We do not guarantee acceptance of items by resale partners.
Items not accepted for resale will be donated to charity.
We are not responsible for resale values or timelines.
8. Intellectual Property and Confidentiality
8.1 Style Recommendations
All styling advice, reports, and recommendations remain our intellectual property.
You may not redistribute or resell our materials, styling methods, or assessments.
Personal styling reports are for your personal use only.
8.2 Privacy and Photos
We respect your privacy and keep all personal information confidential.
Photos may be taken during sessions for reference with your consent.
Separate permission will be requested before using any photos for marketing.
You may request deletion of photos at any time.
9. Email Communications
By booking, you consent to receive our styling newsletter and tips.
We never share your email with third parties.
You may unsubscribe at any time.
Important booking and service communications will still be sent regardless of newsletter preferences.
10. Liability and Insurance
10.1 Our Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of services purchased.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages.
Styling advice is provided as guidance only; outcomes are not guaranteed.
10.2 Customer Risk and Responsibility
You implement styling advice at your own risk.
We are not responsible for dissatisfaction with purchases made based on our recommendations.
You are responsible for all purchase decisions, including fit and suitability.
You must provide accurate information.
You are responsible for disclosing any relevant physical conditions.
You are liable for damage to our equipment or studio premises.
10.3 Advice Disclaimer
Styling services are subjective guidance, not professional financial advice.
We make no warranties regarding outcomes.
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control, including:
Natural disasters
Government restrictions or lockdowns
Transportation strikes
Serious illness
Other unforeseeable events
12. Dispute Resolution
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Dutch law and EU consumer protection regulations.
12.2 Dispute Process
Submit complaints to us via email first.
If unresolved, disputes may be submitted to the Netherlands Consumer Disputes Committee.
Amsterdam courts have exclusive jurisdiction for legal proceedings.
13. Data Protection (GDPR Compliance)
We process personal data in accordance with the GDPR.
Your data is used only for service delivery and legitimate business purposes.
You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data.
Data retention period:
Financial records: 7 years
Styling preferences: 2 years

14. Corporate and Group Services
Special terms apply to corporate events and group bookings. Please contact us for corporate rates and conditions.
15. Updates to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time.
Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date.
Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

These Terms do not limit your statutory consumer rights.
