About colourbella

Founder of colourbella | Colour Consultant & Style Educator | Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Hello and welcome - I'm Isabelle.

I'm the founder and colour consultant behind colourbella, based in Amsterdam. I help people discover their personal colour season, understand their body shape, and define their authentic style personality, giving them a framework to make confident wardrobe choices for themselves.

I don't tell you what to wear. I give you the tools to figure that out on your own (as style, like personal development, is a long journey).

My Approach: Education Over Prescription

Born in Germany and raised between the Netherlands and the UK, I'm a trilingual creative (English, Dutch, German) who has worked as a student entrepreneur, retail insider, corporate trainer, and HR professional. Those experiences taught me how deeply style impacts confidence, presence, and how we show up in the world.

But they also showed me something else: the fashion industry thrives on making people feel not good enough.

Cookie-cutter beauty standards. Trends that change every season. The pressure to buy more, look different, fit in. It's exhausting, expensive, and for most people, it simply doesn't work.

I decided to offer something different.

Where My Journey Began

My love of colour started early. I noticed how the right shade could shift my mood, lift my energy, and express parts of myself that words couldn't. But I didn't just want to know which colours worked, and I wanted to understand why.

Once I learned the framework behind colour analysis, body shapes, and style personalities, everything clicked. My shopping habits changed. My confidence grew. I became a more conscious consumer, not because someone told me what to buy, but because I finally understood what actually worked for me.

That experience sparked colourbella: a practice built on self-knowledge, not styling.

My Training & Expertise

I trained at the London College of Style in:

✔ Advanced Seasonal Colour Analysis
✔ Female Styling
✔ Male Styling

(certified in 2024 and 2025)

This training taught me the technical foundations: seasonal colour theory, body proportion analysis, style personality systems, but my real expertise comes from translating those frameworks into tools that people can use independently.

I work with all genders, all bodies, and all identities. My approach is warm, inclusive, and judgment-free. No outdated rules. No pressure to dress a certain way. Just clarity, confidence, and practical knowledge you can apply for life.

Sustainability & Conscious Consumption

I believe great style isn't about buying more: it's about understanding what truly works for you so you can buy less and choose better.

The fashion industry fuels overconsumption by making people feel inadequate. Fast fashion thrives on confusion and insecurity. I reject that completely.

My work naturally leads to more sustainable choices because when you know your foundations, you:

💚 Stop buying impulsively
💚 Avoid trends that don't suit you
💚 Build a wardrobe that lasts years, not seasons
💚 Shop secondhand with confidence (because you know exactly what works)
💚 Reduce waste and decision fatigue

Sustainability isn't a separate service—it's woven into everything I teach. When you understand colour, body, and style, conscious consumption becomes effortless.

My Mission

To give you the framework to:

✨ Know what works for your colouring, body, and personality
✨ Make confident wardrobe choices yourself
✨ Reject fashion industry standards that don't serve you
✨ Build a wardrobe you actually wear and love
✨ Shop with intention, not impulse
✨ Feel like yourself and not like a trend

Whether you come to me for colour analysis, a complete style foundation, or to learn how to apply your knowledge to your existing wardrobe, I'm here to educate, guide, and support you through a process that's affirming, practical, and genuinely empowering.
