About colourbella
Founder of colourbella · Colour Analyst & Personal Stylist · Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Hello - I'm Isabelle.
I am the founder of colourbella and a certified colour analyst and personal stylist based in Amsterdam.
I help people build a personal framework for how they dress: one rooted in self-knowledge rather than trends, and designed to make getting dressed feel effortless rather than exhausting.
Most clients come to me through colour analysis. Many go on to explore body shape, style personality, and eventually their whole wardrobe. A few come for the complete journey from the start. All of them leave with something they can use independently, not a dependency on a stylist, but a framework that belongs to them.
I do not tell you what to wear and you follow it blindly. My job is to give you the tools to figure that out yourself.
My Approach: Education Over Prescription
My approach sits at the intersection of colour science, body proportion analysis, and style psychology. It is structured and methodical - not intuitive styling or personal opinion, and it produces results that are repeatable and lasting rather than dependent on someone else's eye.
The starting point is always self-knowledge: understanding what genuinely works for your colouring, your proportions, and your personality before making a single change to your wardrobe or shopping habits.
I work this way because I have seen what happens when people dress from a clear framework rather than from guesswork, trend-following, or trying to imitate someone else. The shift is immediate and lasting. Wardrobe decisions become easier. Shopping becomes more intentional. Getting dressed stops being a source of anxiety.
The fashion industry has spent decades creating the opposite of this: making people feel perpetually inadequate so they keep buying. I find that worth pushing back on. Self-knowledge is the most effective antidote I have found.
Where My Journey Began
My relationship with clothing has never been straightforward. I am 176cm tall, noticeable even in the Netherlands, with a bottom-heavy, unbalanced silhouette that most high street stores simply do not design for. Finding trousers with a long enough inseam, jackets that fit across the shoulders without swamping the waist, dresses that work for my proportions rather than against them: these were not small inconveniences. They shaped how I thought about getting dressed every day.
What changed was not my body. It was my understanding of it.
Once I learned the framework behind colour analysis, body shape analysis, and style personality, everything shifted. I stopped fighting my proportions and started dressing for them. I discovered that secondhand and vintage shopping, which I had always loved for the thrill of the find, became even more powerful once I knew exactly what I was looking for. A less conventional shape becomes an advantage when you know your foundations, because you stop wasting time and money on things that will never work and start recognising the things that will.
That shift from frustration to clarity, from impulse to intention is what I want to give every client. Not a perfect body. Not a bigger budget. Just the framework to work with what they actually have.
That experience became colourbella.
My Training & Expertise
I trained at the London College of Style, one of the leading fashion education institutions in Europe, where I completed qualifications in Advanced Seasonal Colour Analysis, Female Styling, and Male Styling, certified in 2024 and 2025.
The London College of Style training is grounded in the technical foundations of colour theory, body proportion analysis, and style personality systems. It gave me the methodology. What I have built since is the ability to translate those frameworks into language and tools that people can actually use in real life, not just in the consultation room.
I work with all genders, all bodies, and all identities. My approach is warm, structured, and judgment-free. No outdated rules. No pressure to look a particular way. Just clarity, confidence, and a framework you can apply independently for years.
I am trilingual - English, Dutch, and German and work with clients from across the Netherlands and internationally.
Sustainability & Conscious Consumption
I believe great style is not about buying more - it is about understanding what genuinely works for you so you can buy less and choose better.
The fashion industry fuels overconsumption by making people feel perpetually inadequate. Fast fashion thrives on confusion and insecurity. Understanding your colour season, your proportions, and your style identity is the most effective counter to that I have found because when you know your foundations, you stop shopping impulsively. You avoid trends that do not suit you. You build a wardrobe that lasts years rather than seasons, and you can shop secondhand with confidence because you know exactly what you are looking for.
Sustainability is not a separate service at colourbella. It is a natural consequence of the work. Conscious consumption becomes effortless when you know what actually works for you.
My Mission

Ready to Begin?
I am based in Amsterdam and work primarily in-person, with virtual sessions available worldwide for most services.
If you are not sure which service is right for you, the best first step is simply getting in touch. I will ask a few questions about where you are right now and suggest the path that makes most sense - whether that is colour analysis, a complete Personal Style Assessment, or something else entirely.
There is no obligation. Just a conversation.
