Give Your Team Something They'll Actually Use

If you're planning a wellbeing day, team event or engagement activity, an express undertone check gives every person something personal, practical and useful long after the day itself.

I work in HR myself, so I know the pattern. A budget, a theme, and a box of branded water bottles, tote bags or stress balls that most people take home, use once, and forget. The intention is good. The impact rarely lasts.

An undertone check works differently. Each person sits down with me for a few minutes, finds out whether their skin has a cool or warm undertone, and leaves with resources they can use every time they get dressed or go shopping.

What it looks like on the day

I set up a small station in your office or venue, ideally near a window with good daylight. People drop by when it suits them, so it fits easily alongside other activities.

Each check takes just a few minutes:

  1. We sit in front of a mirror in natural light.

  2. I hold a few cool and warm test colours under the person's chin.

  3. Together, we look at what happens: which colours make the skin look clearer and the eyes brighter, and which ones bring out shadows or a dull cast.

  4. I explain the result in plain language and answer any questions.

There's no undressing, no makeup removal and no pressure. It works for everyone, regardless of gender, age, style or how much they care about fashion. And it's genuinely fun to watch: people often call colleagues over to see the difference for themselves.

What every participant takes home

The check itself is only the start. Every participant also gets:

  • Their undertone result, explained clearly so they understand what it means for them.

  • A free undertone one-pager, downloadable from my website. It covers what cool or warm means in practice and the basics to start with.

  • The option of a digital colour swatch (€4.99) for their undertone. It includes a curated set of named colours, a large image of each colour to hold against clothes or makeup, and practical tips on styling, accessories, makeup and hair. It lives on their phone, so it's there in the shop, at the makeup counter or in front of their own wardrobe.

That means the value doesn't end when the event does. People keep using what they learned every time they shop or get dressed.

Why it beats another branded item

Merch and one-off giveaways have their place. But if you want people to feel genuinely looked after, an undertone check offers things a tote bag can't.

  • It's personal. Every person gets one-to-one attention and a result that's about them, not about the company logo.

  • It lasts. The knowledge and resources stay useful for years, not until the next clear-out.

  • It's practical. People use it in everyday decisions: what to buy, what to wear, what to combine.

  • It supports confidence. Understanding why some colours work and others don't replaces "nothing looks good on me" with a clear direction. That small boost carries into how people show up at work.

  • It's more sustainable. No extra stuff to produce, ship or throw away. And people who know what suits them tend to buy less and return less.

  • It's inclusive. It works for every gender, age and style, and nobody has to perform or be good at anything.

  • It gets people talking. Colleagues compare results, swap tips and cheer each other on. It's a natural conversation starter across teams and levels.

Where it fits

Express undertone checks are flexible, so they work in lots of settings:

  • Wellbeing days. A feel-good, low-effort activity that sits well next to massages, healthy food or mindfulness sessions.

  • Team building. Light, social and easy to join, with plenty of laughs as people see the difference colours make.

  • Engagement and appreciation moments. A way to say thank you that feels thoughtful rather than generic.

  • Office events, open days and celebrations. A walk-up station that keeps people coming back throughout the day.

Want to go deeper? I also offer speed colour analysis and a colour analysis masterclass for teams, where each person finds out their full colour season. An undertone check is a great way to test the waters first.

What you need to provide

Very little:

  • A spot near a window with good natural daylight

  • A table and a couple of chairs

  • A mirror (I can bring one if needed)

I'll bring everything else, and I'll share the link to the free one-pager so every participant can download it straight away. We can always print them too with the company logo and colours.

Let's talk

If you're planning a wellbeing day, team event or engagement activity and want to give people something that genuinely lasts, I'd love to hear about it. Get in touch with your date, location and rough number of people, and I'll put together a proposal that fits your event. Pricing starts at 200 euros an hour (excl.VAT) and I can do up to 15 people per hour. In case you want higher volume in less time, I often recruit other Netherlands based colour analysts to work with me for your event.

Drop me a message on hello@colourbella.com or fill in the contact form to get in touch.
